Otto's Children, the story of Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank is the first documentary that Gianna Palminteri will produce. A revealing biography focusing on a man and his selfless journey to reach people in the most unique and touching way after the Holocaust is sure to touch all. This documentary, which is an important story that needs to be told to the world, is currently in pre-production.

Gianna Palminteri started her career training with William Esper in New York City where she wrote and performed the one act play," The Curse" for Off-Broadway. After several years of daytime drama, she began acting in films such as; Soulmates, A Bronx Tale, Hurlyburly, Faithful and Ghetto Dawg and the primetime dramas, Tattingers and Tribeca. Her producing career started with her travel series on The Travel Channel, World of Travel, where she was the co-host and associate producer.

As a Producer she is in pre-production for the film, A Fish Story written by Sam Roberts. A family drama set against the beautiful backdrop of the Canadian Lakes, A Fish Story is slated to shoot early 2010.

Gianna Palminteri and her company, MGRP Productions, are currently in development with the feature project Where's Willie co-written by Chazz Palminteri and Tony Spiridakis.

As a producer, Gianna has partnered with playwright/screenwriter Richard Vetere to bring his film, CARAVAGGIO to life. A modern day take on the baroque period master artist, Caravaggio, this film will shoot in Rome and Naples, Italy.

As a Producer she is currently in pre-production with the feature film Balletomane, a story about a young father who enters the world of ballet to reconnect with his ballerina daughter. This film is adapted from the Student Academy Award finalist, short film that she Exececutive Produced with writer/director, Jeremy Joffee and produced by Andrew Kriss.

She is also the producer on the award winning short film, TRACKS of COLOR, a film about a young graffiti artist in the South Bronx, which was written and directed by Federico Castelluccio. It is currently in development as a feature film.

In 2006, Gianna Executive Produced the short film, The Obscure Brother which was filmed in Mattera, Italy and received international awards in filmmaking by writer/director Linda DiFranco.

In 2003 Gianna also Executive Produced and acted in the independent film Ghetto Dawg opposite Drena DeNiro, which is currently showing on HBO.

She is writing and developing several projects for television including, Hollywood Mom, also the new Website / Web Series. Also in the works is the new web pilot called "Girls Night Out".

Gianna is an active member of The Creative Coalition, a non-for-profit organization combining Washington DC and Hollywood and their issues of art and education.

Together with her husband, actor/writer/director, Chazz Palminteri, who is currently on tour with A Bronx Tale, they created The Child Reach Foundation, a charitable organization which leads the fight against Thalassemia and other fatal childhood blood disorders. Their work with the Cooley's Anemia Foundation over the last five years has brought this small orphan disease into the public eye creating a canvas for a cure.

As a writer Gianna has written the one act play, THE CURSE and is currently finishing the screenplay, BRIDGE AND TUNNEL.
